Warning for a junction where road users on a connecting road are obliged to give way or stop (A29)
The sign indicates a junction where drivers of vehicles on connecting roads are obliged to give way or stop. The symbol is adapted to the conditions of the location.

The purpose of this road sign is to give priority to traffic that is following the road indicated by a thick line. You are driving straight ahead, which means that you will cross the road indicated by the thick line. In a written answer, the Swedish Transport Agency states that you must therefore follow the so-called turning rule:

A driver who shall turn at a junction or who shall leave or cross the lane he or she is driving on shall ensure that this can be done without obstructing oncoming traffic or road-users on the lane the driver intends to drive onto.” (Road Traffic Ordinance)

You are crossing the prioritised lane, and must therefore allow any oncoming traffic to pass, which in this example would come from the right.

Don’t I need to use my indicators to show I am turning left, when leaving a road indicated by a thick line?
– No, you are not making a turn. Consider if the sign had looked like this, instead:

Would you then indicate that you were turning left if you were turning left or continuing straight ahead? The Swedish Transport Agency has confirmed in a written answer that indicators shall not be used if you are driving straight ahead.
