What do the road markings indicate?

  • Incorrect: The speed limit of 30 km/h is only a recommendation.
  • Correct: The speed limit of 30 km/h is as enforced as a regular 30 sign.
  • Incorrect: The speed limit of 30 km/h only applies on weekdays except for days before Sundays and public holidays.

”Skola” = school.


Information (M34)
The marking provides information, warning or instruction of importance to the road user.


Speed (M29)
The marking indicates the maximum permitted speed.

The road markings themselves do not indicate that they only apply during certain times. If you only see the road markings, assume that they apply all days and times.
