Driving licence test

This is an old question that is no longer in use.

The picture is taken from the driver’s side window of the car you are driving. What should you do if you want to turn right on the intersecting road?

  • Incorrect: Stop at the spot this picture was taken from, look in both directions and then turn out onto the road if you assess that it is free from of intersecting traffic.
  • Correct: Drive further forward, look in both directions and then turn out onto the road if you consider it free from of intersecting traffic.
  • Incorrect: Turn out onto the intersecting road directly, since the road users on the intersecting road are obliged to give way.

The road you want to turn out onto is a priority road (see the sign to the right of the picture). This means that the last option is wrong.

You cannot make a good assessment of the traffic situation from where you are positioned. You therefore need to drive a bit further forward.
