The grey car is turning left. Is the driver obligated to use their indicator?
“When a driver intends to pull away from a curb or turn around, turn off, change lanes or move the car sideways in any way not considered insignificant, the driver shall use their indicator to show their intention.” (Swedish Road Traffic Ordinance)
You are always obligated to indicate a turn, even if there are lane selection arrows. If you do not indicate, you may confuse the other road users around you. Oncoming drivers cannot see the arrows on the road.
