Are you permitted to drive a three-wheeled motorcycle with an engine output of less than 15 kW if you only have a category B licence?

  • Correct: Yes, always.
  • Incorrect: Yes, but only if the licence was issued prior to 1 January 2000.
  • Incorrect: No, never.

Category B also gives the licence holder the right to drive: “Three-wheeled motorcycle” at the age of 18 and a three-wheeled motorcycle over 15 kW at the age of 21. (Swedish Transport Agency)
