Driving licence exam
This is an old question that is no longer in use.
Images may be missing and the information may be dated.
How should you interpret this situation?
Roadworks (A20)
”This sign indicates the end of a road section where roadworks or similar works are underway.”
Recommended maximum speed (E13)
”The sign is only used as an adjustable road sign and indicates that the conditions are such that, for a limited period, it is not advisable to travel at a higher speed than the one indicated on the sign. The indicated speed is therefore lower than the maximum permitted speed.”
“30” is shown in lights; is this really a valid road sign?
– Yes, it is a real road sign.
Would not “roadworks are underway” be the only correct answer?
– No, as this would be too shallow an interpretation of the situation. You must also take into consideration the maximum recommended speed.
