The blue car on the right started a turn when the lights turned green. The person on the left started to walk across the pedestrian crossing when the lights turned green for him. Is the turning driver obliged to give way to the pedestrian?
“A driver who after turning in a junction is passing a guarded pedestrian crossing shall drive at a low speed and is obliged to give way to pedestrians who have correctly stepped out on the pedestrian crossing or who are about to do so.” (Swedish Road Traffic Ordinance)
“Correctly stepped out on” = when the light was green.
