You are driving the car from which the picture is taken. What is the rule when you and the oncoming car are at the same distance from the obstacles?

There are no specific rules for this situation. The most relevant rule would be:

If there is an obstruction when approaching an oncoming car, the driver who has the obstruction on their side shall stop, if this is necessary for the oncoming car to be able to pass.” (Swedish Road Traffic Ordinance)

You do not both have to stop at the obstacle, you are well within your right (and recommended) to keep moving slowly as the other car is passing.

Another situation where only mutual consideration and adaptation will work: when the right hand rule applies in a four-way crossing and four cars are waiting to drive.

This is an example of one of the driving theory questions at Körtkortonline.se (also in theory tests in Arabic).

There is also a driving licence book online (2024).
