Driving theory questions

Are you permitted to turn left at the coming junction?

  • Correct: đź”’
  • Incorrect: đź”’
  • Incorrect: đź”’

This is the mandatory sign that is displayed:

Keep left/right (D2)

The mandatory sign states that you must pass the sign (the traffic island) on its right-hand side. You are therefore not permitted to drive on the wrong side of the road as you pass the pedestrian crossing. However, the road sign says nothing about your direction of travel. Immediately after the sign, you are therefore permitted to turn in any direction.

This is the prohibitory sign that is displayed:

No U-turn (C26)

A U-turn would mean that you turn around at the junction and drive back along the same road from which you arrived. There is no prohibition against making a regular left turn onto a new road.
