Theory test
The time is 14.00 on a Saturday. You are not a resident. Are you permitted to park here until 08.00 on Monday?
The additional information panel that states “Boendekort gäller” (i.e. “Residents’ permit applies”) does not prohibit others from parking here. It just states that different conditions apply when residents park here. As you are not a resident, you must comply with the times stated on the panel.
You must pay a fee for the period 14.00–15.00 on the Saturday (1 hour). The next time for which a fee is payable is at 09.00 on Monday, by which time you will already have left.
There is also an additional factor that you must take into consideration, which is that a ‘P’ sign permits parking for: “a maximum of 24 consecutive hours on weekdays other than weekdays before Sundays or public holidays, unless otherwise stated on an additional panel” (Road Sign Ordinance). In this example, this 24-hour rule does not apply, because you are parking on Saturday–Sunday.
