    Normally on motorways, you must use the lane that is furthest to the right. There is, however, one exception:

    On a road where the maximum permitted speed is 70 kilometres per hour or less, and the carriageway has at least two lanes for traffic travelling in the same direction as stated by road markings, a driver may use the lane that is most appropriate with consideration to the onward travel.” (Road Traffic Ordinance)

    At the beginning of the video, you can see that the speed limit is 70 km/h. You may therefore remain in your current lane.

    What if the speed limit was 110 km/h?
    – In that case, you would be forced to change to lane C, even though you think B is the most appropriate. You do not need to change to lane D, because that lane leads to an exit.
