Theory test
This is an old question that is no longer in use.
Images may be missing and the information may be dated.
The picture is taken from the car you are driving and you intend to take the next right. Is it permitted to use the hard shoulder to slow down on while also allowing vehicles behind to drive past?
“If needed in order to facilitate accessibility for other traffic, the hard shoulder may be used temporarily, including transit with other vehicles.” (Swedish Road Traffic Ordinance)
Using the hard shoulder makes it easier for the oncoming cars as well as for the cars behind you that are driving straight on. In the situation in the picture, it is clear that there is no great risk with driving out on the hard shoulder. However, it should be avoided if visibility is poor.
This is an example of one of the driving theory questions at Körtkortonline.se. There are two languages: English (free driving licence test), Swedish (free driving licence test)
