Driving theory questions

Are you allowed to stop at A?

  • Correct: đź”’
  • Incorrect: đź”’
E20-15
Zone sign (E20)“Within the area, there may be deviations from the instructions on the sign. These deviations are indicated through other road signs and additional panels.”
C39-1
No stopping or parking (C39)

In other words, the zone sign is applicable in the absence of other directions. The parking sign in the image constitutes “other direction” and thus outweighs the zone sign (imagine how unreasonable it would be if there was a prohibition against stopping and parking on the parking lot of a shopping centre just because a zone sign some hundred metres away said so).

Where you are permitted to park, you are always permitted to stop, so there is no problem in that regard.
