You are driving the car from which the picture is taken. How should you act?

There are several reasons not to stop:
- Your lane is still fairly wide, so you may not even have to drive with one set of wheels in the oncoming lane.
- The obstacle continues for a longer stretch. This means that you could get stuck for quite a while waiting for the road to clear. You would cause a queue, which is not good (it could hinder an ambulance in the back, for example).
- It looks as if the oncoming traffic has plenty of room to keep to the side. They may not “insist on their right” since “A road user shall act to ensure that they do not unnecessarily obstruct or disturb other traffic.” (Swedish Road Traffic Ordinance)
This is an example of one of the driving theory questions at Körtkortonline.se.
There is also a driving licence book online (2026).
