The car has stopped to wait for the road to clear. What do you think about its positioning?

  • Incorrect: Good, it gives the driver good visibility.
  • Correct: Poor, as the front wheels are past the stop line.

Stop line (M13)
The marking indicates where a vehicle should be stopped according to a road sign or traffic signal.

The vehicle shall stop right before the stop line, not over it. The placement of the stop line has been chosen to provide good visibility if you stop right before it.
