What rule applies at this junction?

  • Correct: Vehicles coming from B must give way to vehicles coming from A.
  • Incorrect: Vehicles coming from B must give way to vehicles coming from C.
  • Incorrect: Vehicles coming from C must give way to vehicles coming from A.
  • Incorrect: Vehicles coming from A must give way to vehicles coming from B.

As no signs or other devices have been posted, the right-hand rule applies. The car coming from B has road A on their right and must therefore give way to cars from this road.

Note that B also has priority towards C. However, no such alternative is provided in the question.

Another thing that is important to note is that the junction is in the shape of a Y from C’s perspective.
