You want to turn right at a junction and see this sign. Which alternative applies to the use of blinkers?

  • Correct: You must use blinkers.
  • Incorrect: You must not use blinkers.
  • Incorrect: You should use blinkers, but are not required to.

When a driver intends to pull away from a curb or turn around, turn off, change lanes or move the car sideways in any way not considered insignificant, the driver shall use their indicator to show their intention.” (Swedish Road Traffic Ordinance)

The fact that the adjoining road has an obligation to give way does not mean you are allowed to skip using your blinkers.
