What should you do to conserve fuel in this situation?
“When going downhill, you can let up on the accelerator if the slope is steep enough. [...] If there is an uphill slope after the dip, you can utilise the higher speed from going downhill by staying in a high gear while going up it. This will conserve fuel. Do not accelerate going uphill; instead, maintain an even pressure on the accelerator to save as much as possible.” (Swedish Transport Administration)
