Is there an occasion on which you can ignore the stop sign and also drive into the street straight ahead?

  • Incorrect: No, never.
  • Incorrect: Yes, but only if it can be done without risk.
  • Correct: Yes, if a police officer signals that you are to drive in there.

Sometimes you receive several messages simultaneously in traffic. You then must choose which to adhere to. This is the order you should follow:

  1. Police signals
  2. Traffic signals
  3. Road signs
  4. Rules (the right hand rule)

Police signals thus take priority over the stop sign and prohibition sign.
