Knowledge exam
This is an old question that is no longer in use.
Images may be missing and the information may be dated.
You are in a hurry and driving the car from which the picture is taken. Is the moped driver obligated to facilitate you if you start overtaking on the left?
“When a driver travelling on a road becomes aware that someone is intending to overtake them on the left, the driver shall keep as far to the right as possible pursuant to the stipulations of Section 7. The driver may not accelerate or otherwise hinder the overtaking.” (Swedish Road Traffic Ordinance)
“Keeping as far to the right as possible” must be considered as the moped driver facilitating you.
The traffic safety must always be the highest priority. Even if you are in the wrong, it is safer for everyone if the moped driver “yields” rather than “insists on their right” to show that you are in the wrong.
