You are driving the car from which the picture is taken. What rule applies in the two upcoming junctions?

  • Correct: In the first junction I have to give way, and in the second junction the intersecting traffic has to give way.
  • Incorrect: In the first junction the intersecting traffic has to give way, and in the second junction I have to give way.
  • Incorrect: I am obliged to give way in both junctions.
  • Incorrect: The intersecting traffic is obliged to give way in both junctions.

The first junction:

The sign indicates that a driver is obliged to give way to a vehicle on the intersecting road or route and that the regulations of Chapter 3, Section 5 of the Swedish Road Traffic Ordinance (1998:1276) apply.

The second junction:


Warning for a junction where road users on a connecting road are obliged to give way or stop (A29)
The sign indicates a junction where drivers of vehicles on connecting roads are obliged to give way or stop. The symbol is adapted to the conditions of the location.
