What is a reversible lane?

  • Incorrect: A lane where traffic in both directions are allowed at the same time.
  • Correct: A changeable lane whose direction is determined by traffic signals.
  • Incorrect: A lane that may only be used by emergency vehicles.


Reversible lane (M7)
The marking indicates a lane that may be used for alternating direction of traffic flow. The marking has a distance ratio of 1:1 between the dashes and spaces.
