Greetings everyone,
I am thrilled to inform you that I successfully cleared the practice exam yesterday. I’d like to share some tips that I believe greatly contributed to my success. Please keep these in mind:
-Blindspots: Ensure you never overlook checking your blindspots. This applies not only when changing lanes but also at roundabouts and bike lanes.
Speed: Familiarize yourself with the speed limits of the roads where you anticipate the exam will occur. If the speed limit is 70, I recommend driving at 66 or 67. For a limit of 50, aim for 47 or 48... and so forth.
Lanes: It’s imperative not to confuse the lanes. The moment the examiner mentions, ”In 200 meters, we will turn right,” immediately position yourself in the right-most lane.
Roundabouts: From my perspective, this is one of the most critical aspects. Approach roundabouts at the appropriate speed, differentiate between lanes accurately, check your blindspots, and use indicators. Neglecting these points could likely result in failure.
Highly-dense areas: Maintain a slower speed consistently. Always demonstrate your awareness of the increased risk in such areas. If the speed limit is 30, drive at 25 or even slower (unless there’s no vehicle behind you).
Confidence: Display confidence in your decisions and maintain focus. Try to refrain from engaging in conversation with the examiner during the exam.
Please note that these are suggestions and shouldn’t be considered as strict rules. Revisit the theory and watch numerous videos on YouTube that showcase failed exam attempts.
Best of luck, and keep persevering!
Last tip: Spend some hours in the street watching cars ( Try watch experienced drivers ) and how they drive here in Sweden (I’m foreign) - Go few hours before the exam to the area you will probably drive and walk around watching possible hard-spots and how people solve it. If you take a bus during the previous days of the exam, sit in front and observe the streets.
