When others are overtaking

Hi All,
I have a question and appreciate your comments/replies
If the road is a single lane and if the overtaking is prohibited, Still the car behind me tries to overtake me.
What i should do?
Should i allow them to overtake by moving little out from the center of the road?
Or should i move to the center of the road.. so that they cannot overtake me and avoid them from the danger?

According to the theory, even if the overtake is illegal, you must facilitate it.
Best practice is to position your car a bit towards the right, and close to the hard shoulder.
If it is that bad that you predict an accident, you may totally go right and be on the hard shoulder.
Remember that safety is first priority!

You have to make it easy for the one overtaking no matter what. Sure its an idiot but that doesnt mean you can be equally stupid and try to stop them. Thats how accidents happen. The classic saying is (translated to English) ”In traffic you dont have any rights, only obligations.”
