What are the things that lead to you getting fail on your driving test?

I’m going to do my uppkörning in a few weeks.

Sweden is a country that takes driving safety seriously, and I’ve heard of drivers with decades of experience in other countries who have failed their tests in Sweden.

What lead to you getting a fail? As I’d like to be mindful of it during my driving test.

A lot of things. Mainly you need to think of safety, always look before manoeuvring, never assume anything. Check your mirrors and blind-spot before turning, switching lanes etc. Another thing that is more important in Sweden than most other countries is Eco-Driving. Using the right gears for the right speeds, turning of the engine during railway crossings while waiting for the red lights to turn etc.

I was really worried about the driving test but it turned out to be more chill than a driving lesson. My inspector was calm and explained everything in advance, saying that minor mistakes were fine if not committed repetitively, so I felt secure on driving. If you drive safely, respecting speed limits, road conditions, unprotected road users and traffic rules you will do fine too. As the comment before, just plan your driving and look at mirrors and blind spots, blinkers, show well your intentions. Ask directions again if you are in doubt. Good luck in your exam!
