An old article from 2011 mentioned Färsta approval rate of 40% vs. 60% in other areas of Sweden and that scared me a bit.
I have not done the test elsewhere, so cannot compare if Farsta is more difficult but I can give some tips on what I believe can be a good preparation.
- When adjusting the seat, specially if you are driving manual, check the clutch depth when fully pressed (as if simulating a gear change). I thought the pedal felt quite long, so I had to pull my seat a little forward after I had done the initial adjustment
- As expected: read all the signs, specially speed limits, there are 30/40/60/100km/h roads, so you need to adapt
- Watch for people
--> a lady crossed in front of me and not entirely at the pedestrian crossing, as I was in the right speed was ok to stop and let her pass, but she did without checking if there was incoming traffic
--> a father with a stroller showed up on the opposite corner on the way to cross, so I waited him to cross on the other side before I crossed myself to avoid being stuck in the middle of the road
- Practice parallel parking, I saw on person on a driving school car struggling on this one, not sure if it was an exam or just someone practicing in the area, I passed by while walking
- Practice roundabouts - e.g. give way, turning signals, changing lanes - there were a few
- Be prepared for busy roads- e.g. look at the mirror, signal lane change, keep a safe distance, etc.
- Be mindful for the gears and rpm for a proper eco-driving
- Drive as taking a family member for a spin - the examiner was welcoming and made me feel comfortable from the start which was very helpful
Good luck to all!

Did the instructor speak english with you? I’ve heard that in Farsta they don’t like to speak English if you ask.
