So happy that I passed first attempt today I wanted to share on this forum.
I have been driving with a driving school in Eslöv for around 1.5 months over the summer as a complete beginner. Bought MANY lessons but was fully prepared to fail my first attempt due to the things I have heard/read online, and the fact that my mock tests have never gone perfectly.
Due to nerves, I had to get the examiner’s help finding where to secure the stick which keeps the front hood in place during safety check, and also took a wrong turn when following directions (had to turn around), and was even reminded once by the examiner to ”adapt my speed” because I was driving around 60 on a 70 main road when there was a car close behind me (I braked a lot because I was conscious of houses, but the examiner later told me that the road was wide enough, so I could have placed myself more in the middle instead of reducing speed).
Because of the above reasons I thought I failed during the test and was surprised when the examiner told me I passed! But I think it is because none of my mistakes were ”Dangerous”. I was good at scanning ahead before junctions/roundabouts, very attentive to unprotected road users and made no mistakes with traffic rules, etc. Also did well with L-backning and adapted well to speed limits and road conditions besides that one time I got reminded.
Moral of the story: If you make a mistake, do not panick, you may still pass the test! Good luck!
